Dance 4 THON changes its course

Every year after THON's finale, THON slows down into a period of planning for the upcoming THON year.

New THON chairpersons at each campus will be busy preparing THON events for next summer, fall and winter.

While THON maps out its next steps, this blog will take steps in a new direction.

Many of the stories posted here have been about THON events, because this blog was introduced in the middle of THON’s busiest part of the year. Writing about upcoming events and reporting on events that happened were natural focal points for this blog.

Now, this blog’s focus will be put on the people involved with THON. Stories about students, children with cancer and THON families will be a weekly feature on Dance 4 THON.

I will also be using my Twitter account to provide updates for when new posts are published and to interact with readers.

If you’d like to privately  make a suggestion for a story, comment on a posted story or have a question about THON, you can do that by emailing me at sma5189@psu.edu.

I will respond to every inquiry that comes my way.

Lastly, if you have yet to get involved in THON, please, do so.

If you’re a student, you could email your campus’ THON chairperson or walk into your student life office to find out when your campus' next THON meeting is.

If you’re not a student, you could donate and even come to a THON event next year. I would highly suggest visiting the Bryce Jordan Center during THON's finale next February.

THON is a miracle that everyone can be a part of.
